Our outfield every time they try to go out in public

Oh god, that reminds me of a story.

When I was in high school, I went to the Revolution eastern conference finals vs the New York Red Bull. My friend’s aunt has some very good job at bud light apparently and so she was able to get 4 of us tickets in the bud light luxury box at Gillette.

So apparently, after they win the conference, everyone in a luxury box is allowed to go down to the field to celebrate with the players (this is where it relates). On the elevator down to the field, I turned around and noticed that the league’s top scorer was behind us in the elevator. I went to open my mouth, and then remembered that he was suspended for this game and was probably a big part of why his team lost, and then I also noticed that he was the angriest looking human I have ever seen in my life up to this point, so I decided to keep my mouth shut. I think that was the right move.

Also, on the way through the tunnel to the field, we passed the Red Bull players coming off. I saw Thiery Henry, who is arguably in the top 3 French players of all time, and I knew that this was probably the last game of his career, so I just gave him a little clap and said “good job Thiery” and he gave me a thumbs up and a nod. I think that’s as far as I’d ever go with a celebrity. A lot of people forget that they’re just people too.
