It can be both. One can use acrylic yarn AND still be personally responsible for the environment.

Show me the person who doesn’t use ANY plastic products of any kind or who has never in their life used a plastic bag or drank out of a plastic water bottle. This means no cars, no cell phone, no computer, no makeup products, no gum either apparently

I highly doubt that person exists because plastic is in almost everything.

Although this may not have been your intent, it feels like this is shaming people who choose to use acrylic yarn and implying they just must not care about the environment.
