once i woke up in the middle of the night to loud pounding on my bedroom door. i thought i had left my door locked on accident and my mom was trying to wake me up for school. as i walked to my door i started to get uneasy and wondered if i was dreaming the noise, but the longer i listened to it the more i was sure that i was awake. before i opened it i kept thinking how there wouldn’t be anybody there, even though i could clearly hear the pounding still.

sure enough, my door was not locked, and the second i opened it, the pounding stopped and i saw nothing but a pitch black hallway. i hightailed it to my moms room to spend the rest of the night with her.
