Parents of Reddit, what is something you never want your children to know about you?

If mom didn't cheat on me, she wouldn't be alive.

Three months into the pregnancy I got the sneaking suspicion she's cheating on me. Confront her about it, she swears up and down she would never. Eventually I come home early, almost beat guy #1 to death, she cries.

Now at this point, she asks if there's anything I can do to have me trust her again. I ask for her phone. She reluctantly hands it over. I go to guy #2 in Facebook messages... She pulls it away from me and deletes it. Says the messages would kill me.

Suddenly i see guy #3 - her ex. I open it up to find she slept with this dude the day before Christmas with my family. Really close to the conception date. At this point, she's already dead to me and I only care about the baby.

Now, #3 was in a pretty bad wreck while they were together. The doctors said he may not ever have kids. "If there wasn't a chance this baby was yours, I'd abort." was one of the texts.

No need for more of the story. As far as being cheated on goes, this was THE BEST possible outcome. My amazing daughter is sleeping in her crib next to me and even though I didn't see it playing out this way, I couldn't be happier with our life.
