Passenger's video from inside of the burning plane in Chicago today - warning: vertical until the last 9 seconds

Dude, you act like everyone in the airline industry are isiots and don't realise this happens. They know exactly what happens during an emergency, better than you do. There are nearly 100 years of cases to study on plane accidents.

We all know that passengers go for their personal belongings in an emergency. Its exactly the same in house fires, car crashes etc. They probably have a smart phone, wallet, business/school work, laptop in there, its basically someones whole life in that bag. They feel like its a life line.

How can you stop human behaviour? Its a natural reaction. People do strange things in emergencies.

The airlines always say to leave personnel belongings in an evacuation, what more can they do? The only thing I can think of is during an emergency all the lockers are remotely locked. But it needs to happen automatically, because the pilots and crew are too busy.

If I can think of this im sure Boeing/Airbus have, so there must be a good reason why they dont do it.

It comes down to in an emergency people (with bags or not) are pushed out the door, get them out regardless of what they have in hand.
