My best friend is a Kevin, I met him freshman year of college. It was late one night and I was in the dorm lounge, when he walked in and threw a bunch of complements at me, saying I should grow a beard and looked like a swashbuckler. He may or may not have been hitting on me, (and later giving up upon realizing I'm straight), either way I just appreciated the complements and thought he seemed like a cool guy. I ran into him a few more times over the next few days, slowly learning that we shared a lot of interests, and we soon became great friends.
A few things I have since learned about this particular Kevin over the years:
He is a bisexual anarchosocialist
He used to listen to a lot of punk music, is these days more into hip-hop (and is also the one who introduced me to Kendrick Lamar so I'm certainly thankful for that)
-He loves drugs of all kinds, particularly weed and booze
-He is currently the DM of a DnD group we're part of
-He's the only person I know who's as passionate about Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon, and the old Star Wars EU as I am, and we have debated all of those topics and more for hours on end
-Just the other day he asked me to "do a guest verse for [his] mixtape," which raised far more questions than it answered.
