People need to give Kyle a break with Peterson

TL;DR: I think Kyle did great, too.

I think he did very well. I’m not sure what people wanted him to say.

People really don’t like Peterson. I’be seen people say that Peterson said US healthcare was better than Canadas, but he specifically didn’t. I sounded that way, but then he said something like, “I’m not talking about that. That wasn’t the questioned I was asked.

I’m way more aligned with Kyle, in certain ways, but Peterson isn’t that far off .

Even with abortion, which Peterson says is wrong, he’s not saying women shouldn’t be allowed to have them. He thinks we should shape society in such a way where there are fewer of them. This includes supporting parents substantially financially if they decide to have kids.

I mean…. I basically agree with that. I don’t think abortion is wrong, but I’ve known a lot of women who’ve had them, and it’s not something they’re happy about, even if they think they made the right choice. Some are worried about how it’ll effect fertility later on. Most weren’t bummed because “god” or anything like that. I have religious friends, but most of my dearest are atheists. I think he also said birth control was important. He’s not as much of a religious nut as some of his fans, who hate abortion and paradoxically hate birth control too. (Of course it’s all just about sex, right? If abortion is “killing people” birth control has to be the lesser evil. But I guess I know that’s not how they think. We really gotta stop bending over backwards, trying to accommodate the religious)

Anyway, Peterson is no slouch. That’s why he’s famous. It turns out, neither is Kyle. I’d say it was pretty fantastic. Maybe people wanted Kyle to say something else on the trans issue. I’m not an expert on that, so I’m not sure how that could have gone better.

The way he’s criticized,

He did bring up something he thought Trumps team should have gotten the Nobel peace prize for. I’m very skeptical of that.
