Perfect Example of Conservative Ignorance Shown in South Carolina Man Blaming Obama for Health Woes

This is a wonderful story of citizens looking out for our own brothers and sisters of the country, regardless of political views, because it's the right thing to do. This is what being an "American" is about, helping your fellow country-people out.

We always want to help out foreign governments and their citizens after tragedy, yet when it comes to our own, we politicize helping others and let it skew our perception of "who is more American." It's a pissing contest and we need to grow up and be adults and just get over the fact that we, as a civilized country, need to just help out people, even if we have to do things that make our consumer life more expensive by a few cents.

There are a significant amount of citizens living in poverty, and many, many more struggling with rising tuition costs, student debt, medical bills, and low paying jobs.

All it takes is one car accident, one unexpected surgery, one defaulted loan, and your entire credit can be ruined, and worse, you could be seriously injured or fall very sick.

Regardless, this video is very indicative to what the Conservative members in congress (both house and senate) rally against not doing.

If you are unwilling to want to pay more wages to your fellow citizens of the country we all live in, because it's an inconvenience to you that you have to pay more for an artificially fast-made burger, then you have fallen for the trick that "corporations decide the economy" (see citizens united) and that "corporations know what's best for the country"--yet at the same time, corporations are making record profits and there's a record level in the World in CEO pay to floor workers or burger flippers, to the point where we as a society call those people "not worthy" of a living wage because their job is seen as "easy labor" and "expendable."

Those very same people who are not millionaires or billionaires, basically anybody probably reading this, who's entire life would be ruined by one financial crisis from any detrimental event, it is in your best interest to raise wages, to get people off government assistance, so you don't have to foot the bill. Corporations should pay for the work they receive in selling their product, not taxpayers paying for the wages corporations are not paying.

Don't let politics get in the way of caring for others, that is not how we grow as a country, that is how we fragment as a society.

that was my passionate reaction to this video, pmuch.
