Period after abortion?

Sounds like a period and sounds perfectly normal! Your first period after a medical abortion is likely to be heavier because your uterus is shedding extra tissue/clots and the flow and duration might be different than your normal period. It's all very normal.

You should only be concerned if it's an excessive amount of bleeding, ie soaking two of those heavy-duty overnight pads within 2 hours, or if you get a fever over 100F or severe and abnormal (not like regular cramps) abdominal pain. If that happens then either call the clinic you went to or go to the ER. Of course, all of that is very unlikely and your flow sounds perfectly normal for the first period after a medical so don't stress about it!
