Sounds like you've done more research on the topic than I have, so I could be wrong about a lot of things. But I don't see the issue with chemical castration. It sounds a lot worse than it is to the average person.

Just because it "rubs you the wrong way" doesn't mean it isn't real science. It's gone through clinical trials and has been proven to be effective in what it's used for - reducing sex drive. It's not perfect but it's far better than the alternative imo if you think you might be a danger to kids.

Cognitive/Behavioral therapy also isn't bullshit. It was just used for the wrong reason in your case. I mean isn't it used beneficially for LGBT members now to deal with things like depression, stigma, etc.?
