Peter Jackson Fixed Visual Inconsistencies While Remastering The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy In 4K

Fun thing-

My high school orchestra was invited on a backstage pass trip to Disney every 3 years (we had an 18 year 1st place win streak in a regional school orchestra competition). We got VIP passes for the duration of our stay to both theme parks. And, we got to spend several hours with a Disney conductor in their official recording studio.

The conductor was trying to show us the demands placed on professional Disney musicians. He had set up in all of our sections the full length of the sheet music for Fantasia. He did a small preamble about how time costs money, and how much money every time we did a few measures cost. He then mentioned how critical it was for professionals to be able to sight read, which is the training players to be familiar enough with their instruments and notes to play on the fly from the first time. Then he said, “Okay. Let’s try a couple sections,” we went through them and he actually paused a moment to comment, “I didn’t think you guys would be able to play it through. Okay then.” He then reaffirmed how much money that time cost. He had us work on a trouble spot. Then it was, “That’s it! Now we’ll go for it!” And he played us through the entirety of Fantasia.

It WAS the recording studio. They recorded our entire performance, and then several weeks later sent a VHS cassette of Fantasia with our orchestra playing to our music teacher. It was awesome.
