Planet Fitness cancels woman's membership after her complaints of transgender woman in locker room

I don't think it has much to do with transphobia. Honestly, my girlfriend's father finally went through all the required surgeries to become a woman. During the entire process he victimized himself saying that the mother broke up the family and poisoned his children against him. The father has deeply seeded mental and emotional problems and guess what? He's still miserable even after all of the surgeries. It goes to show that it goes back to his mother dying early and his convoluted ideas of what men and women should be. His entire life he put up an ultra macho persona because that's what he thought men were. It's an infantile view on the world and sexuality.

I have nothing against you chopping off and/or inverting your penis, but the very fact that you need the world to recognize that you are a woman means you need to justify your choices based on other people's opinions of you. That is asking too much of people. You will always be a man, people will see it in your body type and your face, no matter how much surgery you go through.

Most transgendered people I've met and that especially my girlfriend has met has had some sort of issue with their sexuality spurred on by say parents expressing they wanted the opposite gender, very, very, childish views on sexuality, and many other reasons. Meanwhile the trans people claim up and down that they've always felt like the opposite gender. It just so happened that people they cared about gave them issues about being a boy or a girl.

I think it's quite arrogant on your part to impress upon people and insist that you are a woman when you clearly are not. That's asking way too much of people and society in general. Do what you want to your body, but know that by doing so in any society will open you up for ridicule because you are intentionally making yourself so different from the rest of society. It's just how it is.
