[Post Game] Jazz (15-19) lose to Thunder (18-15) 103-89 in Salt Lake City.

Am I the only one who feels this way? I mean it with all good intentions for the team and as a lifelong die-hard Jazz fan...

In my lifetime, I've kind of been spoiled as a Jazz fan up until recent years. For the longest time, there was always this feeling that the Jazz were contenders. They'd average 3rd or 4th in the West year after year. Sure, you'd have a Lakers or Spurs team to face in the playoffs, but if they just played their cards right, they could do it.

Right at the end of the Sloan era and beginning of the Corbin era, I just lost that feeling completely. Now I go into the season knowing that there's no possibility. Even last year, with how good that team was, it all seemed kaput since you knew the Warriors existed.

I see a lot of posts on this sub and in r/nba about how everything's about Mitchell now, and I envy all of you who can do that. I love Mitchell and I see a bright future for him, but at the end of the day I just want to see the Jazz be contenders. It's getting really hard for me to care anymore, which really bums me out!

Maybe I'm just seeking validation that it's okay to take a break for a little bit.
