Pregnant and clueless

Things I've found helpful for information though .. sorry lol I went on a tangent

I like my preggy app :) I use BabyCentre, but there's tons. Find one you like! (I also have an app to time my contractions for the finale! You won't need this yet but something to keep in mind)

First trimester was overwhelming as my pregnancy was also unplanned. But google was usually my best friend (don't read forums about things you're curious about because it's just women's opinions.. not real facts.. use actual websites webmd, other medical sites.. ) keep in mind there's more than one "right" answer to things so don't overwhelm yourself. Sometimes I'll read 10 articles on something and they all say a different thing. In that case I'll form my own opinion (because there's more than one "right" way!) or I'll ask my Midwife. I stay up til 4am sometimes googling things lol again, it's me forming my own opinion on things I'm curious about.. none the less.. there's nothing wrong with that.

A pregnancy book! I'm from Canada so I had one specifically tailored to Canadian pregnancies. I don't recommend a huge book. Just one that gives you basic info on what to expect. I skipped a lot of chapters either way. Also.. Ina Mays Guide to Childbirth. Every pregnant woman needs to read this book.. it's a bit biased in regards to hospital births but the ideas about pregnancy and child birth are truly amazing and it really puts into perspective what your body is capable of and what birth is really all about (which isn't scary like every one makes it out to be!)

Maternity clothes!! Including various styles of sports bras. Too many friends told me maternity clothes are too expensive and yoga pants and baggy shirts work fine. They do.. but then you put on some maternity clothes and you're like "this isn't the same"

I've really enjoyed my third trimester the most. Preparing for birth. I might be going a bit over board lol I have a bucket of things for our home birth specifically to keep me naturally comfortable and in a meditative zone.

Best of luck! Message me if you have questions and I can try to answer to the best of my ability. Also, try joining a local mom group at some point. They can be catty sometimes but they boast good info/opinions if you get into a good one!
