Progress/Halloween Curls. First time growing my hair out after having it buzzed all my life.

Hey everyone, for products I just use both the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine shampoo and conditioner and Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine leave-in conditioner. I haven't really followed a hair care routine, I've just kind of taken what I've learned from others in my life and a good bit of trial and error and came up with what has worked for me so far. That's kind of why I'm here though, to see if there is anything I should/shouldn't be using or doing.

So, I shampoo every 3-5 days probably, just whenever they feel like they need it, and then I have recently been using both of my conditioners pretty much every day. When I condition, I just get my hair wet with cold water, run the conditioner through my hair and kind of finger comb it through. Let that sit for 5-10 minutes and do whatever else I need to do. Then wash it back out with cold water and apply probably a nickel sized amount of the leave-in conditioner with a little bit of water to get it all throughout my hair. I then typically do a quick head shake with a towel to catch the water and then dab a microfiber towel to stop the drips and then air dry.

Any tips or product reccomendations would be appreciated!
