I know Microsoft has done this in the past but I can't really recall them doing it in years at this point. It's still a scummy practice, but at the same time ever since the beginning of this generation PS4 has had exclusive content locked to their platform for Destiny a year. Then it continued with Destiny 2. Assassin's Creed 4 got exclusive missions that never came to any other platform and I believe Watch Dogs 1 and 2 got exclusive missions also. then Call of Duty got map packs 30 days early, now they get game modes extra for a year, also Civ VI is getting free content while Xbox users have to pay. It's not like microsoft gave away those 2 games for free then made PS4 users wait and pay, also some of that content is just flat out only available on PS4 like the AC 4 DLC. One more thing, Even Tomb Raider and Dead Rising got more stuff in the end on PS4. Tomb Raider got an exclusive to PS4 VR mission that was also gated for a year till it came to PC. Dead Rising 4 launched with all the DLC included with the game at a lower price too. Sony has just been far more predatory with this kind of stuff and that's a fact.
