if this isnt possible break my poor heart now but today my sister gave me her old xbox one and i was excited as fuck to reinstall rdr2 which i had preordered back when it came out and played like hell until i moved out of that house but she didnt give me a controller saying they dont have any spares (makes sense my nephew used to destroy shit regardless of cost, i love him but he was hell) and now i cant control the xbox one, i googled and nothing is working, i plugged in my wireless mouse but couldnt control it at all, dont have a keyboard or wired mouse to try, i was going to try a method using 360 controllers of which i have about 6 :,) and a laptop/pc but they are all wireless and i need wired. i cant use my phone/ipad to control using xbox app because the Xbox isn’t connected to my wifi am i just screwed and need to bite the bullet and buy a controller? or is there something else i may have missed that may work.

i also tried my switch pro controller even tho i knew it wasnt gonna work (wireless and plugged in) and ofc it didnt
