PSV wants smoking banned in all Dutch stadiums, and have just banned it in theirs.

Exactly how I felt about the smoking ban in live music venues. Nobody was bringing kids to these venues anyway (other than the occasional young musician).

All of those clubs are now closed. Probably 20 clubs in a 50 mile radius (which - here - in a rural area - is literally all of the indoor live music venues) are closed.

The famous blues bar where I met Beck, Bonamossa, Clapton, Johnson, and BB King? Closed.

The tiny 250 capacity club where I saw Nirvana in '96? Closed.

The venue literally across the street from the University campus where I saw Perl Jam, RATM, STP, Weezer and Soundgarden? Closed.

The shitty club where my first band got our start and our first regular gig? Closed.

I'm 100% sure that the reason interest in the guitar is waning is because there's literally no fucking places to gig any more.
