Put over 100 hours into this to get it to a point where I was happy with it, done with charcoal and graphite

You're confusing photorealism with hyperrealism. But I don't want to get into technicalities and turn this into an art lesson. But regardless, I do it because I enjoy drawing them. I specialize in hyperrealistic portraits and the joy it brings to people when I draw them is a great feeling. I only open commissions when I need money for rent or something, I mostly offer to draw for free because I like to draw, I like to get better, and it's free practice that might put me outside my comfort zone.

I did put my own spin on it, my drawing has meaning, what you get from it is up to you. My meaning won't be the same as everyone else's. If you don't like it that's fine though, lots of peoples prefer more abstract art.

You say I've wasted my time, but I've just been practicing and improving on a hobby of mine that I get great joy from. You spent your time posting a comment shitting on someone's hobby with no constructive criticism. Who actually wasted their time?
