I’m so fucked it’s not even funny!

List out every assignment you have left between now and then. Break down the steps into tiny steps. Prioritize if needed. Cross each baby step off as a mini reward. This helps you visualize how much you have left and gets the to do list out of your head.

Now that you don’t have to think about WHAT you have to do, you can focus on HOW you’re going to do it.

Find a spot with few distractions. Put your headphones on. Pomodoro is great. Work 25 minutes, 5 minute break. If that’s too hard- work 15 minutes, 5 minute break.

Exercise is SO good for focus. If you can do any sort of workout before, do it. 10 minutes even. Yoga/jumping jacks/run/even stretching. Study/work on papers immediately after (or as soon after as possible).

Have everything you could need with you when you’re studying. Snacks, water, caffeine, stim toys, extra pens, etc. Anything you might need. Ideally, you just want to be moving from where you’re studying to the bathroom and back. Limit where you go to limit distractions.

You got this. I know it’s hard. And it feels like you’re going to fail. And there’s no way out of it. But it’s not true. Failure isn’t certain. Past failure doesn’t guarantee future failure. You’re just a little more prepared to take it on this time.

You can do this. But you need to take action now. You can get in control. It may not feel like it. Everything probably feels like it’s rushing around so fast right now and you’re losing your bearings. Take that first step and take back the control.
