PvP PSA: Invading a gank squad? Take an NPC hostage.

I used this strategy as an Aldritch Faithful. A host and a white were down in the room with the Faithful's head boss dude fighting the first lizard/squirrel/gaping dragon monstrosity. I shimmied down the ladder and ran further into the room to let them finish off the baddie in peace. You know, honor or something right?

So when they finish I indicate I want to duel with the white. We go at it for a while, but when I am about to win I see the host start to circle around me. I bail to the far end of the room because I am not interested in getting ganked if I can help it. They don't follow because they don't want to aggro the second monstrosity. I stood they gesturing to them, even trying to use the "hey!" gesture to help a fellow Faithful find us, but to no avail.

Eventually they got the bright idea to start shooting greatarrows at me. One hit because of stupid lag, so I started rolling everywhere I went. I eventually got smart and ran over to the second baddie and rolled around him and, bang! They fired an arrow and it aggro'ed the monster! Now was my chance! I ran in with fury. I felt like the Nameless King riding my noble, enraged steed, albeit a much uglier ride I will admit. The monster took on the white and I charged the host. We go at it and I am about to come out on top when the coward starts running. I have no option but to keep in pursuit, hoping to catch a roll if I can. Meanwhile, the white manages to finish off my lizard bro, so back to ganking it goes. I decide to bail and see if I can find my sister Faithful running around looking for us, but they catch me with pyromancies as I scramble up the ladder.

It was fun to see if I could bait the gank pair to do what they didn't want to do. I don't blame them for playing how they did. I just wish people would be a bit less scared of losing. All you lose is a bit of time. Whatever.
