Question About Hiring Voice Actors

So I left the game school and was doing some serious rethinking about my life. I went back to community college for a bit and was getting better grades and got back on the Dean's list; but I still wasn't happy.

I went to UNT for Chemistry since my dad wanted us to have well paying jobs and just figured I'd do pharmacy and invest and then be done with school. That semester was hell and it was hard working a part time job along with it.

The Christmas of that year, something strange happened. I was thinking to myself desperately about my book ideas wanting to write something thinking that if just one person would read it they would realize where I could go with it and I'd become famous and not have to worry about school (yeah right lol). I was sitting in the living room of my grandfather's house across from my great grandmother who was 97 and and alzheimers. She didn't remember who anyone was ever and had a lot of memory problems. She'd been asleep for half an hour and was surrounded by other relatives. I was sitting probably 15-20 feet away in a chair opposite her. While I was sitting there I was mulling in my self doubt and thinking about my book and how I needed it to work out. And then she looked up from her sleep and said something directly to me while looking at me from across the room.

She said, 'Hey Hollywood.' Everyone around her laughed and joked by I thought to myself why me? Why now?

3 days later I got in contact with another writer on social media who wanted someone to write a script based on his idea. I looked at his idea in a google docs and got discouraged at his level of literacy. I was back in my apartment at that point and was confused and disappointed.

I was sitting on my back porch thinking when I saw a leaf that had "I'm proud of you" written in sharpie on it. I decided after that to follow through with the deal and wrote a script for this other writer. We entered a 50/50 contract but I ended up doing 99% of the work and reworking all but one or two of his ideas to make a series. We pitched this series to a few producers and didn't hear back.

So, I ended up writing 50 pages each for two other book ideas. I put my names on both of the copyrights so that the other author wouldn't be able to take credit for my work and grew increasingly frustrated since I would read over my work 50x and he would read it 1x. More or less after the contests and "legitimate" script hosting websites didn't work out we gradually parted ways.
