It was extremely difficult, but I think I got it down:
The Escapist is just unbelievable. It's so absolutely breathtaking that something so this short and simple could be so strikingly beautiful. It's the perfect finisher for the album, and really shows what the band are capable of. It's easily the best of the two halves of this track.
There are lots of little touches here and there, like the faint sound of a fire truck siren of the line "some would just sit and cry"... it's a real heartbreaking piece, and it's one of the few songs that actually put me on the brink of tears. It is that powerful.
Speaking of the music... oh my god, the music. The violins, drums, bells, all the elements just come together so well, making something all-encompassing and really powerful.
I don't know if I'll ever hear a song that can top Viva La Vida. And if not, I really don't care. If this remains the greatest song I've ever heard for the rest of time, well, then I'd say I'm pretty well off.
