I know r/EDH and r/cEDH don't really get a long, but still, I know you can relate. We need to get rid of Sheldor.

Your entire point 1 is a joke. While it is just your opinion, who are you to decide that people who have fun playing competitive games can't play EDH? Kitchen table magic exists for every format. If spikes can't play EDH because it is for casuals, should casuals not be allowed to play standard, modern, etc?

This entire quote is why I hate your first point:

I agree that if all the spikes stop playing it would be fine.

That is such a horrible attitude to have. You have no obligation to ever shuffle up against a spikey player. They don't harm you in the slightest.

Now normally I would put in a big rant here about how so many "casual" players bitch about EDH being a social format, but never bother to talk to people. Nobody is forcing you to play with spikey people. If you don't want to see someone storm out in EDH, don't sit down with a group of spikes. GOD, casuals in this format piss me off so much sometimes, mentioning that it is a fun format and throwing around "spirit of EDH" like some sacred mantra. If you want to hardcast Paluka Wurm and kick Rite of Replication on it, be my guest. That is a fun, casual play and I would be down to play a casual deck against it. But if 4 people want to play singleton vintage, you don't have to sit down with them.

And man, pointing out Vintage and Modern as places to storm is probably the dumbest advice every. Vintage is a $20k format and Modern is most likely never going to have a successful storm deck again, especially one that is affordable.

Sorry for being a dick, but as someone who enjoys competitive play and ALSO likes casual decks, your point pissed me off. My playgroup has a spectrum of power levels and it is a great time whether I am playing my Doomsday deck or playing my tokens deck. Saying my competitive intentions don't belong in the format is just something that pisses me off.
