r/politics should be redubbed r/liberalcirclejerk

Similar stories on my end from around the social media sphere. I grew up liberal and hang around conservatives. I feel like the conservatives I know can't relate to liberals like I know how. So I feel like I can still blend in when appropriate, but political discussion has shifted so much since 2015 that nite its like even though I know what they care about and can genuinely empathize, the standards have changed, and if they detect from your totally innocuous wisdom /comment that you're not in ideological luck step, they rush you.

I think it's also nib mentality in some ways, because I've talked to the Bernie or bust folks about politics in subs unrelated to politics and they seem pretty chill most of the time.
