r/ucsd FAQs!

is the campus actually socially dead?

no. UCSD actually has a huge party problem. admins have spread propaganda claiming the school is "socially dead" to try and disattract more partygoers from the school.

what sort of parties are there?

the infamous "sun lord" festival is just one example. held every quarter, this festival has featured hit artists like "miguel" and "the rockstar energy booth"

should i bring my car?

no. shuttles are a more efficient means of travel, reliably appearing every 20 minutes and never disappearing off ucsdmaps.com for unexplained reasons. parking lots are reserved for international students so they can park their maseratis for 3 months straight

what are dining dollars? triton cash?

dining dollars can be used at any dining location on campus. but they can't be used at the dining locations in price center. but you can use triton cash there. you can also use tirton cash at any non-dining location. but you can't use triton cash to do laundry anymore, you have to add money to your laundry account to do that. but you don't have any money in your laundry account, or triton cash, because you were forced to buy a mandatory dining dollars plan at the start of the year.

would you like that charged to your student account or triton cash?

student account please.

best dining hall on campus?

they are all shit. this is what happens when a public institution has no obligation to provide good service because the number of customers it receives is not dependent on the quality of its product. im not fucking kidding, look up the sodium content of the food at cafe ventanas. look up the sodium content of the breakfast burrito, it has 1800 mg of sodium in it, what the fuck
