Hypothetically speaking if i were planning to drop out and go to cc for a while due to unable to change into the major that I desire where would I have to go to be more informed.

Heads up, I’m still awake thinking about something similar but also having told myself I’m going to fight through this.

To start with, having that attitude doesn’t help. UCSD is just 4 years of your life. Life is much more than this. Try to find friends who go out as much as they can. Not saying you should dump your books but try to cut out on wasting time and somehow study for close to 6-7 hours a day. If you’re studious enough and want to have a balanced college life, that’s what you gotta do.

If you’re a gamer, please stop. Play occasionally but don’t be the type that stays up till 4am playing COD or whatever with friends or online.

Find things that interest you. A lot of the students here don’t have concrete interests and aren’t interested in pursuing something they’re extremely passionate about. I was passionate about music and began playing the guitar over here. I also play soccer and read books in the hot tub every night on my kindle.

When it’s time to study, avoid using the laptop/mobile. It’s a horrible distraction, and eats away the most productive hours of your day.

Make it a point to wake up early. This could even be 8-9am, but try to get into a routine. This has allowed me to maintain goals and achieve them on a day to day basis.

Hope this advice works.
