I don't think all anti immigrants are neccesarily racist, they're anti non-English speaking countries, I think. British people and Americans are born into the same language and also have an extremely similar culture.

I live in England, so this whole immigration bigotry might be different in America. But here in England, the most hated groups of people are Romanians and the Polish. It used to be Indians until the bigots slowly realised they're actually really nice and pretty cool. My father used to be a casually old-school semi-racist, and pretty much all his best friends are Indian now.

At the very least, England isn't as much about color as it seems to be in America.
