Rant from a future 4k owner

  1. $150 UBP-X700 is $150. Supports Dolby Vision, you just have to manually switch it on.

  2. You were never going to get HDR on a projector in the first place, contrast simply isn't high enough. As for Samsung, fuck Samsung.

  3. If you don't have more than a 7.2 system, Atmos doesn't apply. The real reason to replacement your expensive receiver is the 4K 60Hz HDR pass-through. But if you want to avoid that, you can get a $150 eARC extractor, which can pass the signal to your existing receiver.
