The Ray Harryhausen's Creatures

I thought they were animatronics because all the stop motion movies I've seen are modern ones, which are much smoother and none of them blends with real life (pure animations, no real life actors).

I was meant to say it's cool and eerie how they move, those "creatures" (well, some are statues) scared me when I watched those movies as a kid, and the way they blend with real life scene and real actors are amazing, they somehow blends better than some of today's CGI.
