We’re living with COVID but more of us are dying than ever

Let's make it a bit simpler for you.. but first you must understand that death from a precipitating event like trauma or a heart attack or a stroke, or cancer, or kidney failure or acute lupus or whatever where the death is recorded as being due to that event does not mean that it won't be listed as a "Covid death". This is very clear in the definition.

Now how about your pedestrian who say fractures his pelvis, loses a litre of blood, tests positive for Covid in the A&E, is stabilised and admitted to the general ward, appears to recover over the next few days apart from a persisting low grade fever and tachycardia and some changes on his CXR thought to be due to his heart failure. He is awaiting cardiology review but then suddenly deteriorates, and passes. Is this a Covid death?
