Reddit! Now That The Brits Regret Leaving The EU - Why Not Conquer Them Back Like The North Did The South -- Leading To A Stronger Union? They'll Probably Be Like "Okay" And If Not - Well, Popcorn Time!!!! Note: No Actual War Suggested.

since yesterday. They also started googling "what is the EU" "what will happen if we leave the EU" and so forth - AFTER the vote passed!

Finally, they also regret it as a direct consequence of the impact to their economy, value of the pound. Trillions were wiped out. Companies focused on the EU will have to open an office there, and may leave Britain. London can't stay the hub it had been.

All of this is stuff they didn't think about - I know I didn't! Until the vote passed (actually a few hours before, when I realized it was neck and neck) I hadn't really thought about it, I didn't think it had any chance of passing.

I think it caught a LOT of people off guard! Their prime minister (David Cameron) announced stepping down!

So, all of this makes them regret it. They didn't think their prime minister would step down, that this is how dire of a mistake they just made is....

anyway for these reasons I think if the EU even vaguely suggested "no" they'd be like, "oh okay okay - nevermind then!"

As I said: they really regret it. Don't forget to upvote this discussion, it just got a downvote and if it gets to 0 or -1 it will drop off the page (or get more downvotes). cheers,
