Reddit, do you think the Olympic symbol represents a typical Eurocentric views on continents?

Ok, I admit the title was a bit click baity. I don't care about Olympic symbol to be honest, because it is now a heritage (symbol represents the five participating continents: Africa, Asia, America, Australia and Europe). The point I wanted to make was that how are people still able to rationally justify "Continent Europe" as a thing. My motivation to post this was that I was shocked to hear that someone was confidently claiming that Europe is completely different from the rest of Eurasia and the rest are the rest". I am also frustrated that some people have never thought about diversity outside of Europe can be as great.

Here are some quotes from wikipedia (article:Continent): "Some view separation of Eurasia into Asia and Europe as a residue of Eurocentrism: "In physical, cultural and historical diversity, China and India are comparable to the entire European landmass, not to a single European country. [...]."[12] However, for historical and cultural reasons,[which?] the view of Europe as a separate continent continues in several categorizations.[citation needed]"

If you consider variation within Europe is as great as, for example, India vs China, or North Africa vs South Africa, please consider Samuel Huntington's Clash of Civilizations' boundaries (I recommend reading the paper as well): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Clash_of_Civilizations_mapn2.png
