Reddit, what minor health problem or pain made you panic and wonder if it was actually a big deal?

Minor

I wouldn't rate it as minor given that knowing that a 10 on the pain threshold is curled into a ball doing nothing but screaming because of the pain, I had what I would consider a solid 6/7.

Specifically it was an intense and sharp stabbing pain in my diaphragm whenever I tried to move my torso by bending twisting at the waist. It had been a thing for a few days at that point and I just brushed it off as sleeping wrong. But over the days it just kept building and building in pain. When it reached that 6/7 stage I finally called the Advice Nurse and did the run down with them.

They of course did an immediate run down for other heart attack symptoms because "Pain in the chest? What's gonna kill this idiot right now that he might reasonably have?" But there wasn't any shortness or breath, a vice like pressure on the chest, no tingling or pain in the extremities. I also repeated this to the actual doctor I saw after the Advice Nurse came up going ¯\(ツ)/¯.

The doc settled on Acid Reflux. For a stabbing pain. That flared up when I moved. I voiced my concerns. She countered with wanting to cover all the bases and that it could manifest in unusual ways.

Well, turns out covering all the bases meant a rough ~$300 between the copay, x-ray, EKG, and prescription for acid reflux. I would like the audience to know that I'm a broke as fuck wage slave.

The kicker is that the pain has finally gone away pretty much of it's own.
