Redditors that have quit jobs on the spot: what is your “I Quit” story that you’re most proud of?

Have one myself actually.

Worked at a supermarket where i grew pretty quickly. I was allowed to do more than most and even had full acces to the cash register systems. We changed the sales every saturday and had to rebuild a part of the store every week

The day i quit was a saturday, and we had 2 bosses that worked on saturdays alternately. Obe i really liked and the other was nice but could be a bit of a dick sometimes.

Well the dick was working and after i basically prepared half his evening (which he should have done) and i done it well like normal.

He begon to say i was useless and that he didnt need me and stuff like that.

So i was like: oh i am useless? Well go fuck yourself.

He then realised his mistake i think because he about begged me to stay which i did not do because i was done.

I am pretty sure he lied to others avout what happened because suddenly nobody talked to me anymore.
