Reggie Fils-Aime Explains Why The Wii U Failed To Take Off But Is Happy About It Having Best Reviewed Exclusives

I think it is futile to ask Nintendo to steal buyers from Microsoft or Sony that is just plain impossible, the same way it was hard to steal buyers from Sega and Nintendo back in the 90s.

People buy the PS4 or the Xboxone because that's what they have been doing for the last decade and they are satisfied with what Microsoft and Sony offer even if that means they have less games to play at the same time most people can't afford more than one console to play so once they make their chose they stick to it period and they really I mean really don't care what the competitor does, they will stick with their investment. Let's say the Wii U had the same hardware the other two competitors have, and a different name. Chances are the Wii U would stay the same at it is now because like I pointed since they already know what to expect with Microsoft and Sony they would rather invest their money on the PS4 and Xbox one instead. Leaving the Wii U with low sales and that's the best excuse third party developers have to refuse to support the system, also the wave of negativity around Nintendo is so insane people would dismiss the console no matter what even if Nintendo made a complete turn and started copying Sony and Microsoft or even if they better their style people would still dismiss Nintendo.

Finally consoles don't sell for exclusives, in fact multiplats sell much more than the respective exclusives from Sony and Microsoft, home consoles are for the most part Call of Duy, Battlefield and Assassin's Creed machines.

Reason why I believe Nintendo made the right choice with the NX.
