Since we're all in minor variations of the exact same fvcking situation, I'll post a dream I had which seems pertinent.

I believe dreams contain useful information. I was pondering my former DB-like situation heavily yesterday, and had the following dream:

I met a woman in a restaurant, who was nothing like my ex, except that she was a young woman. And she was talking to me, as we sat across the table from one another, about college radio, elite hipster music, and all kinds of trendy, edgy shit. I realized that whenever I said something, she basically acted bored with what I was saying, like I had said something commonplace. And everything that she said was designed to kind of paint herself in this awesome, stellar, unobtainable light. She wanted to rattle off all kinds of cultural factoids and awe me with them, but when I mentioned something it was like, "Oh yahh... and...", just briskly moving on.

I had the realization that this person, no matter what I do, is always going to think that they're better than me. They're always going to think they're superior to me. This person is always going to try to see themselves as 'better than' me.

And then the dream ended, and I awoke.
