Regrets with bitcoin

Only thing I regret was listening to other people and not listening to myself about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general back when I first got into it in 2011.

I thought it was really cool and did a lot of research and thought it was worth investing in, but I listened to people who I now know don't know anything who said stuff like "ponzi scheme," "tulips," "bubble," etc. I shouldn't have listened to them because they didn't do their DD. I still invested, but it was much smaller than it could have been. But then I got Goxxed anyway! I continued to invest small amounts after then.

The naysayers really didn't understand, but those same people are now asking me how they can invest in bitcoin... The problem is they still don't fundamentally understand how much of a game-changer bitcoin and crypto is. So now to naysayers I tell them that they can give me advice after they've read a book on blockchain technology, and after they've downloaded a wallet and gotten some free bitcoin from a faucet. At that point I'm able to have an intelligent discussion with them, and the ones who don't try aren't really worth the effort.

We're still early adopters of something that's going to change the world. So that minimizes regrets.
