I use both Mac and PC heavily. These are my thoughts: I prefer using Mac. Better UI, sleaker, less bloatware, updates are actually useful and they feel like they improve something every time. Simply put: better user experience overall. Don’t worry about re-learning how to use a computer, a 10 min video on YouTube will teach you everything you might need to know and even that isn’t really necessary.

That said I always find it hard to recommend for the price. If money isn’t a problem go for the MacBookPro, but if you’re tight on it just look elsewhere. A good rule of thumb is if you don’t have the money to replace it if it gets completely destroyed or stolen, you can’t afford it.

It sounds like you really need a replacement so keep in mind that there are plenty of good laptops for cheaper just try to make sure they have an SSD at least.

Widnows computers will always get the job done for cheaper, just don’t completely cheap out on it either .
