Not tryna pry but it really does seem like the best solution is for you guys to just… not do that. Is there really no other way? If they are good opportunities can’t you leverage them for at least a decent gig somewhere closer to the where the other’s job is? Are you both somehow chasing lifelong passions and are both in arm’s reach of them? I just can’t think of a reason it’d be worth it to be separated if you don’t want to be separated. If it’s only a temporary thing that’s different I guess but otherwise it seems like this isn’t really a workable situation and is going to have to change eventually anyway so why not now?
