Has rewatching ever made you dislike/grow indifferent to characters you once liked?

Sadly there are a few for me. Qrow honestly comes across rather villainous to me as he (and Taiyang) seem rather indifferent to Yang's problems with her mother and how everything stacked up against her by the end of the volume. He also had good clues on who to look for after Amber lost her powers but seemingly kept them to himself. Overall he just came across as wanting to show off and not really caring about his nieces or the impending doom of Vale.

Ironwood as having the girl who can control magnetism fight a robot probably wasn't the best of ideas. Also throw in scaring Pyrrha so badly that she couldn't control her powers and gave her a death sentence. I throw Qrow, Glynda, and Ozpin into this as well due to how it feels like everything can be traced back to them not thinking things through.

Sadly Blake and Weiss didn't do themselves many favors for me in Volume 3, especially after they went out for "drinks" after getting disqualified and finding out either someone is messing with Yang's head or she just put a bullet in an "innocent" boys leg because she's seeing things. They just came across as rather unlikable for me this year even though I still love their characters. Unfortunately I must also throw in Yang to a degree as after the paladin fight it seemed like she forgot how to fight and just kept making the same really bad decisions that I feel she and her friends wouldn't have made in previous volumes.

I still love RWBY but sadly in Volume 3 a lot of the characters just felt "out of character" for me or came across as rather unlikable to varying degrees. I'm really hoping the characters come back shining brighter than ever in Volume 4 as the dark tone felt too much for me and so many of my favorite parts of RWBY dying or being taken away hurt. As I said though, I still love RWBY I'm just a little worried about the direction.

God bless
