I know this post is a few month old lol, but I also want to point out that according to Valeen, Dylan only ever asked her what she believed in God because she shouted unintentionally shouted “Oh God!” as a response to being hit. Maybe this the solution here?

Rachel or Richard (probably Rachel) might have shouted something like that, with Richard being unable to remember the specifics for obvious reason. Then when Eric and Dylan came back around, they ask what they did to Valeen to them because they remember the yells. They obviously get no real response from either of them and move on. Because of the injuries he mixes up the times, and he remembers the statements that Eric and Dylan made when they came back around as being before the last gunshot instead of a while later like it actually was.

This explains Rich’s memories when he come immediately out from surgery, while the autopsy indicates that Rachel’s gunshot wounds were delivered from the same place and immediately in succession, how Richard herald he crying even though the autopsy strongly indicates she’d have been killed instantly, and how this matches with Valeen.

I don’t know lol, do you think this explanation could maybe work to explain the conflicting reports lol?
