Rihanna's secret boyfriend revealed as Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel

Literally an ambassador said it was terrorism. Just because they left some alone (They probably live abroad for sure) doesn't mean the ones they caught never got to talk again.

Some laws are enforced, some laws are just "there". If the Saudi government really wanted to crack down on Atheists it would go after the hundreds of thousands of Saudi Atheists (living inside the country) openly expressing themselves on social media.

Besides, even the ambassador admits that spreading Atheism is illegal; merely being an Atheist isn't pursued. It's like how in the West there are hate speech laws that prosecute, for example, openly expressing holocaust denial. To Muslims, blaspheming is worse than denying the holocaust, so it's perfectly fair to make it illegal.

since Israel is here, and Kuwait is pretty secular. Also there are hadiths saying camel piss cures everything. Do you believe in them too?

Israel isn't part of Arabia. As for Kuwait, I said I'm not sure if it specifically refers to Arabia or just the Hijaz. Regardless, Kuwait is not an Islamic country. It's a liberal, secular country and you can't compare Saudi to them,

Again, it's about having the FREEDOM of doing that. If i wanted to quit my job and live like a bum drinking, eating bacon, and smoking weed.. I CAN. I definitely wouldn't if i lived in the west (I don't really like the idea of drinking anyhow)

Once again, how is it any different in Saudi? Do people here not drink alcohol in private parties and villas? Since when does the religious police install cameras in people's homes to see what they're doing? Even the head of mutaween said himself recently in a news article that sins committed in the privacy of one's home are not pursued upon by the authorities. This is part of general Islamic law to conceal people's sins, and not to take them to authorities. That's why if you ever ask a Shaykh, he will discourage you from reporting someone for adultery or apostasy even if you have evidence. And that's why the evidence standards to prove these things are so high; it's to protect people's right to privacy.

And smoking weed is still officially illegal in most Western countries today.

Ha, yeah. Being stoned to death for adultery, or being gay. SO NORMAL in the canada. Bet you see it everyday.

Once again. In order to realistically prosecute someone for these things, you basically have to voluntarily confess in court, do it in public (illegal everywhere) or publicize it. The government, at least in theory, doesn't invade people's privacy.

Lol, no. The difference is that Saudi is going to crack down on it and arrest you (Ever heard of that Saudi critic? he's still in jail and it's been over 3 years.)

Well we just went over the fact that they don't crack down on these things. That Saudi critic, however, was causing a public disturbance because he was basically insulting Islam. Again, in ALL Western countries, except the USA, hate speech against religious or racial groups, as well as insulting people's religious sensibilities, is illegal here as well. For example, someone in the West was recently arrested for desecrating the Qur'an.

Do you seriously not know that tuition/scholarship exist in the US? or Canada? Are you outright denying that they exist? lmao you're actually hilarious. Also, they go there because they can over there.

We might get a few thousand dollars worth of scholarship for good grades, extracurricular activities, etc., but we don't get our entire tuition paid. The majority of it is still our responsibility, and tuition here ARE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE (people graduate with debt of up to $50 000, if you do something like law or medical school you can expect debt in the hundred thousands). Not to mention we still have to pay for our residency, accommodation etc, unlike Saudis who get these things for free.

As soon as i get on my feet, i will. But come on now, you act like the US/CA is as bad / good as the middle east (When you fucking KNOW it's not) Then why not come back to Iran? or live in Saudi Arabia?

I agree. Most of the middle east, except the Gulf, Israel, Turkey and Iran are a complete shithole. But it's not because they're religious or have Sharia law (most of the poor countries in the Middle East are secular anyways); it's because they're poor economically. If Canada or Europe was economically poor, I would call it a shithole to.

Then why not come back to Iran? or live in Saudi Arabia?

There are aspects of Western culture I disagree with, but I don't go around talking shit about Canadian culture all while leeching off the benefits. Besides, I pay taxes here, so even if I was, I'm technically not "leeching off".
