Running back hype!

Never said Quizz wasn't good nor do I want him to be cut.

.

Hes played 4 seasons already and has never really done much except for some highlight runs.

That was what you said. "Never really done much except for some highlight runs." which I don't believe is true. I listed what he has done and what his strengths are in response to that.

However look at the Falcons list of current RBs, yet they chose to let him sign somewhere else. He's a 3rd down RB. He's not a guy you run an offense through like a Forte, Langford, or Carey.

There is a reason for that - I agree. The reason is that they have 2 guys (Devonta Freeman, Antoine Smith) who are younger and can play the same role as him. This actually illustrates my point. Jacquizz Rodgers is a small, shifty rotational RB who is good in the open field. Devonta Freeman is the exact same - just younger. It's the same situation Carey is running in to. He's battling with a guy who is going to play for the backup role of a RB2. To be an RB2 you have to take pressure off the RB1 by playing a traditional RB. Now, there are exceptions but that's the general rule. Once you start getting to the RB3 and RB4 roles you start seeing guys who can do things in the passing game or ST. That's why Carey could be shown the door this offseason.

Forte fails at blocking? Don't agree with that one bit.

Forte actually missed the top 101 PFF player grades because he was so bad at blocking. He ranked the worst in QB disruptions at 17. He was the worst ranked starting RB in pass blocking. It's a constant issue that's brought up.

At this point I just think we have differences in opinion of what a depth RB should be. I'll let you have the last word on this since I've gotten out everything I needed to say and we can agree to disagree after this.

Thanks for not calling me a meatball and keeping it civil :p

Have a good one and Bear Down.
