Sadio Mane: Liverpool make Southampton striker £30m transfer target

I feel like Liverpool are just chasing after the wrong players. Why are we going after attacking midfielders, dont we have Lallana Firmino and Coutinho? Theyve been decent enough really. What bothers me the most is the lack of experience and set pieces. We are signing too many young players(Ings, Gomez, Grujic, Karius, etc) and I am NOT saying that they are bad players. I am simply saying that we the squad should have a proper balance of youth and senior players. Not all young players we buy will turn out to be a steal like Coutinho and we always eventually sell them off in the future for lower prices, a recent example being Joao Teixeira. Great kid with potential, but just wasnt good enough for the Premier League. And the second point, set pieces. Besides the free kick goals from Coutinho's low drive and Milner's curler against Villa, I cant remember another goal scored from a free kick this season. The penalties and corners were fine in general, decent delieveries from Milner but the free kicks were terrible. It would be nice if Liverpool, FOR ONCE, stopped looking for young talents and start hunting for a experienced set piece specialist similar to Alonso/Gerrard/Calhanoglu. Just saying.
