Saturday Morning Political Cartoon Thread

Why is meaning and intent so difficult for some to parse?

I didn't say it would be actually racist. The whole point is that they'd claim it's racist simply because it's involving a black President. I can provide plenty of examples of the lack of logic behind other accusations of racism by the left, but I'm guessing you'd just claim they're racist anyway, calling them dog whistles. "Dog whistles," btw, seems to be just the latest get-out-of-losing-argument free card for someone who has no actual logical reason for calling something is racist, but still wants to demonize their political enemies anyway. The right calls Trudeau effeminate all the time, but because Obama is black, calling him effeminate is considered a "dog whistle." And how much slander have we seen about Trump's wife in the headlines of this subreddit alone?

If the right printed the exact same comic as this, under the hypothetical context of Obama being accused of colluding with a world leader, the left would most certainly add it to the pile of "racist dog whistles," and they'd homophobic too, even though, I agree, the logic wouldn't make sense. The logic most often doesn't sense when it comes to the left's accusations of bigotry.
