Saved 4 years to buy a BMW, 3-days later this piece of metal bounced on the highway into my headlight. Destroyed the headlight and the module. Dealership wants $2895 to fix it.

No, it's rather annoying. I had 2 X3s, it was always a pain if something went wrong. Loved the cars, I'm not even a BMW fan and would have never thought I would have liked them as much as I did, but it was like a luxurious 4runner.

Also, cars seem like a pretty big waste of money to me. I don't think I would save up money for a fancy car. Of course that sounds 'rich' coming from the rich guy with 2 BMWs, but it's just not a great investment. If I saved up money for 4 years I would want it to go towards something that appreciated in value, like a house, not something that is a money sink, like a BMW. I don't have those cars anymore, both my cars are pre 2005 models that I've just held onto (did get them new). I will probably have to upgrade soon, but it probably won't be a BMW, it makes no sense for my life right now and honestly I don't want to deal with it. I'd probably get another Subaru.
