School defends 'Problem of Whiteness' course

At the beginning of the article I was thinking that the course title "Problem of Whiteness" is horrible and it sounded like the class was just going to increase the racial tension by teaching college students (an easily persuaded group of people) that what people are all bad and the lectures would be filled with hate. Then I kept reading & thought maybe the title is misleading & the course will teach the differences of race & teach students to put themselves in other people's shoes instead of assuming that a person is bad based of race, beliefs, etc. But I kept reading and realized that this is a course that will be thought by a teacher so prejudice and hateful that nothing good could come from it. Example: the course description "In this class, we will ask what an ethical white identity entails, what it means to be #woke, and consider the journal Race Traitor's motto, 'treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity.'" That obviously shows that this course isn't going to teach understand but preach hate. Second example, the professor' Twitter post "Good day haters! Keep fueling me with your Tomfoolery. The angrier whites are about interrogating their identity the greater is the need for it". I'm all for freedom of speech but this isn't "speech" because it's a college professor backed by a university to spread hate. Freedom of speech is having the right to publicly discuss your opinion but I think a university professor teaching a college course solely based on his hateful opinion is not "speech". There's a playground across the street from me and I see kids playing with all the other kids no matter what race, religion, gender, etc. If we stop separating people into groups and spreading hate, these kids won't learn to hate or be prejudice.
