Tony Montana is actually featured quite a bit in the documentary he made. "OVERNIGHT". He was a good friend of Troy Duffy. The guy who wrote and directed "The Boondock Saints". All of their buddies formed a group called "The Brood". They would write music, movies etc.... I believe Tony was sort of an unofficial manager.......Once Harvey Weinstein became interested in buying the Saints script off Duffy everything went crazy. Tony and the whole crew ended up quitting their jobs as they had now "made it". On top of Weinstein offering these guys the world to produce the script They were signed "sight unseen" To Maverick records. (They had a rock band as well). ANYWAYS...... Eventually things started to go south with Weinstein. He realized that Troy wasn't cut out for Hollywood. Too Brash, pig headed... Kind of an Ego-Maniac. Troy Wasn't playing ball and the deal started to slip away. At this point Tony Montana kind of saw the writing on the wall. Rather than continue to make his documentary on the unlikely rise of Troy Duffy and his friends making the Boondock Saints.... He pretty much just kept the camera focused on Troy Duffy. It was fascinating to watch Troy Duffy destroy himself. All the deals fell through and he was left with nothing. Even his personal relationships with "The Brood" were ruined. He eventually made The Boondock Saints for a fraction of the original budget with a small independent studio. (Franchise Films). ANYWAY The documentary OVERNIGHT covers all of this and it is really fascinating.
