[Serious] After Paris shootings: Are You scared?

Another tired "Fox News" remark. How original.

There's a reason why people comment on it. It is absolute trash and in no way resembles quality journalism. It pushes an agenda rather than giving a balanced viw on things.

As for Islam being a peaceful and non violent religion, I wouldn't ever say that. I don't like it as a religion for that very reason BUT just because the religion has failings, doesn't mean that all of it's adherents are mindless killers. I've travelled through Indonesia, a country of roughly 200 million muslims. They're some of the nicest people that you will ever meet, and certainly friendlier and more open than many Americans. I've also travelled in India, Pakistan and Iran. Pakistan is scary as fuck because you have hard core Islamists and massive poverty coupled with low education. Iran on the other hand is nothing like it's portrayed in the western media. It has a rich culture and the people are wonderful, a complete contrast to their government which is oppressive and authoritarian. Islam on its own doesn't create terrorists. This is all a blowback from US foreign policy and the creation of state of Israel, but most Americans are so patriotic that they refuse to consider their own guilt in all of this. I bet that as soon as you read that line, that you immediately felt defensive. I didn't write it to push a button, I wrote it because to any non American, it's clear as a cloudless sky.

Indians have a saying. Five fingers are not the same meaning that you can't just think one bad person is representative of all others in a community. I've spent over 7 years of my life tralling the world , including a huge part of Asia, Russia and North America, and everywhere I go people always ask Do you like people from our country? My answer is always There are good and bad people everywhere, we are all the same in that way.

Your prediction that there would be an attack in no way supports that all muslims are bad and it's just blind and ignorant racism. My parents are Christians from the middle east and I've never been to their country but I clearly look middle eastern even though I don't identify as anything other than Australian. I was in the US a couple of years ago and even in San Francisco came up against suspicion steeped in racism time and time again. There are plenty of awesome Americans but considering they are a world superpower, as a whole, they are incredibly ignorant about what the rest of the world is really like.

As I said, get out there and live the world directly rather than forming opinions based on biased reporting.
